Boy George, Culture Club & Berlin
In a world that seems to be increasingly divided, it’s refreshing to see that some things – like the music of Boy George, Culture Club, and Berlin – can still bring people together. On Thursday August 10th, 2023, these three iconic groups will be performing at the Dos Equis Pavilion in Dallas, Texas, and fans of all ages and backgrounds are sure to be in attendance.
Boy George first came to prominence in the early 1980s as the flamboyant frontman of Culture Club. With hits like “Do You Really Want to Hurt Me” and “Karma Chameleon”, the group quickly became one of the biggest bands in the world. George’s androgynous look and unique fashion sense were a huge part of their appeal, and he remains one of the most recognizable figures in pop music to this day.
Culture Club went on to have massive success in the United States, thanks in part to George’s close friendship with Michael Jackson. They were the first group since The Beatles to have four consecutive #1 singles on the Billboard Hot 100, and their 1984 album Colour by Numbers is still one of the best-selling albums of all time.
